FOR SALE on EBAY : Glow Starter W/ Meter & Charger for Nitro RC Cars

http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280623607504

Glow Starter RC Engine Starting Tips
by Julian Wong

The worst thing that can possibly happen on a weekend race day at the RC track is finding out that your glow starter doesn't work.

Glow starters fail to work for various reasons, the most common being:

#1: The battery is flat / not charged / can no longer be charged.

#2: The glow plug is damaged.

#3: There is a bad electronic connection (incomplete circuit) between the glow starter and the glow plug

With glow starter that comes with an in-built battery level meter, you are able to assess your battery level simply by connecting it to your RC vehicle's glow plug prior to your outing to obtain an energy rating. If no rating is shown, gently rock the glow starter left to right, and even slightly clockwise until a full circuit is made. If that still fails, your glow plug could be faulty and you should unscrew it for a check.

When all's in place, you should have a much easier time and much less guess work in starting your RC car with your regular pull start, hand-held starter or starter box. Happy racing!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ITEM FEATURES:

* Small, light and powerful Ni-Mh battery Glow Starter.
* Enough power for a full day at the track.
* Replaceable battery.

INSTRUCTIONS:

* To charge, simply plug the A/C charger directly into wall socket. Then, squeeze the glow starter socket & place it onto the charger's charging lead. The charging has begun.
* For initial use, do charge for 12-14 hours. Thereafter, a charge duration of 5-6 hours would suffice.
* To use on your Nitro RC car, squeeze the spring-loaded socket & place it onto the glow plug's hexagonal body. When firmly connected, you should see a meter reading on the glow starter. "Green" indicates good battery level; "Red" indicates poor battery level that may not be sufficient to ignite your nitro fuel.
* Ni-Mh cell is stored with electrical charge, so do take head to monitor it's capacity to prevent shorting out.
* Charge with chargers designed specifically for the BSD Racing Glow Starter Ni-Mh batteries for best results.

Adidas Shoe Getting Raped by 1/10 Monster Truck | hpisavagex46.wordpress.com

http://hpisavagex46.wordpress.com/. Here's a fucked-up Adidas shoe getting repeated assaulted and violated by a 1/10 BSD RC Monster Truck.

The Shoe: Adidas Barricade 6.0 - SUCKS to t MAXX! Expensive and gave me achy heels! I've had the Barricade II and IV- those were good. But this one is PURE GARBAGE that's even worse than $40 Prince Tennis Shoes,

The Truck: Not a Redcat Racing Volcano EPX nor Volcano EPX Pro. In fact, this is the BSD Racing Viper XST - from the same plant where Redcat's Volcano EPXs are made! - at a much lower cost.

Truck Features: Full-time 4-wheel drive, 550 27T Motor, Oil-filled Big Bore Shocks, Brushed 1/10 ESC, 2.4 Ghz Radio System, 1800 Nimh 7.2V Battery + Charger

Truck Features: Full-time 4-wheel drive, Twin 280-sized High Torque Motors, 8 Independent Suspension Shocks, Rock Crawler 25A ESC with Fwd/Rev, Twin 7.2V 600mah NiCd Batteries, Top Speed of 35km/h, Running time of 15 minutes. Sure kicks every other 1/18 MT's ass (except the brushless-modified mini monster trucks ones, of course).

Make Your RC Car Go Fast On A Budget

If you're planning to make your RC car go faster, your best bet is to do a Brushless conversion from GP to EP. The right combination of battery and motor can also give you very long running times. If you're on a budget, some good low cost but race-worthy ESC + Motor combos out there are the ones by Leopard, HobbyWing (Xerun and EzRun), SkyRC (sold as Turnigy Trackstar), and Hobbyking (Hextronix). They may be short of some of the programming features found in Castle Creations and Novak Escs, but have very comparable track performance and durability.

Starr Domingue iconizes the irritating pretentious plastic bitch that really wants nothing more to be popular - and slacks off on everything else after that's in hand.

Katy Perry "Hot & Cold" Piano

Something less relevant to my RC blog at http://hpisavagex46.wordpress.com. I was at my grandma's to deliver some groceries and had a brief moment to jam on her piano. Here's some bits from Katy Perry's Hot n Cold played on chords. I might have transposed it for easy playing. Didn't manage to complete the recording as I later realized a phone call came in and made it stop. Bugger.

Fastest Motor for HPI Savage X | Savage X Engine Mods

http://hpisavagex46.wordpress.com. A week ago I was just talking about how I'd continue to write even though no one seemed to care about my RC blog posts. Now, I've got a daily readership of 60-70! And most recently, I've been getting a bunch of emails and youtube messages asking me "What is the fastest motor for the HPI Savage X", "Is supercharging my Savage X with a RB Innovations Supercharger a good idea" and "Are there some good Savage X Engine Mods Out there"...

Well... gee.. Savage X wasn't meant to be a racing truck. If that's really what you want, my honest words, in spite of the fact of owning a Savage X which I also modify quite a bit, are that for speed... save that money upgrading and just get a Traxxas Revo 3.3. The Revo may break a lil easier but it's lighter and quick. Look on the bright side, if you spent the $400 you would have spent on mods on a Revo instead, you'd have 2 trucks! Ain't that great? One to bash, and one to bash +race.

OK.. that's being a little irritating. I shall answer your questions more directly, and I'll do so all at once. Engine mods... other than a supercharger, which I'll talk about shortly, are limited. You might wanna look at a different-shaped tuned pipe, with some knowledge from my recent posts on the varying functions of tuned pipes based on shape. About supercharging, that definitely works, but I think it's better saved for road cars. Off road is just too much load on your engine when handling rough terrain, and the added strain via a supercharger such as the one by RB innovations is gonna cause your engine to break down alot faster. You might be better forking out a lil more money for a good motor (engine).

What's the "fastest engine for savage x" then? There's one engine out there that I'd call the fastest. Its simply getting the most powerful engine you can get, the one which dishes out the most horsepower and hoping that can fit in your chassis. I know for a fact a 5.9cc, or .36 engine will fit in.. but you might experiment with a 7.5cc(.46) engine and tell me if that works out. The Savage XL already uses the 5.9 cc engine. I'm not saying you have to get the HPI Nitrostar 5.9... because it isn't the most powerful engine out there.

I suppose price is a concern.. So I actually suggest you start looking out for SH Engines which are from Taiwan. They are already on cars by Redcat Racing as well as ExceedRC. For a fairly low price, you can get a solid 5-6 horsepower engine for your Savage X. Then you'll just have to play around with gear ratios after that, i.e. bigger spur gear or smaller clutch bell, for a higher top speed as your new engine will readily support it's new speed.

I'll be doing a review on SH Engines soon. Look out for that!

Oil-filled Shock Absorber Maintenance

Http://hpisavagex46.wordpress.com. Doing maintenance for your oil-filled big bore shocks? Why not take this opportunity to tune your shock absorber's performance by selecting a suitable shock oil viscosity? The usual range goes from 10wt - 100wt silicone, namely 10wt for minimum dampening of spring compression, 100wt makes little way for compression and hence is more for touring car use. Off road RC hobbyists generally go for low-mid range silicone oil for livelier suspension handling. Increasingly, racers have started putting thicker oils in the front than the rear to help handle those hard and un-planned nose-first landings. If your vehicle is well powered and has a higher CG, you may experience wheelies or backflips when going heavy on throttle. You can counter this by thickening the oil in the rear shocks to prevent your vehicle from sitting back too much.

How to Change Your Nitro RC's Slipper Clutch Pad

http://Hpisavagex46.wordpress.com. If you're experiencing slow acceleration, low top-end speed, low torque - all this even when your Nitro RC vehicle is fully broken-in and tuned, you could have a burnt out, or melted Slipper Clutch Pad. This is a tutorial demonstrated with my HPI Savage X 4.6, on just how to replace your clutch pad, and re-assemble the slipper clutch set-up.

*Note*: I'm fully aware I've got long nails on long nail beds. I'm sick and tired on hearing comments to cut them or how they're an eyesore. I like it this way so that's that!

Kyosho Inferno gets a Hot Bodies make-over!

Http://hpisavagex46.wordpress.com. My 12-year old Kyosho Inferno DX gets a facelift! Yesterday I purchased a plain uncut piece of Hot Bodies D8 Lexan body shell for my Kyosho Inferno. "Are you sure it fits?" prompted Julia of Tai Seng Pte Ltd, the local HPI supplier. Pretty sure it did- and finally, I realized I just had to change the tail mounting hole's position slightly and it was perfect! This is the next phase of "Anti-Toykar Pte Ltd" as I work toward getting this forgotten warrior back to racing health. Moving on to the paint job - this is no where near as good as Daniel Khoo's perfectly done Yokohama Skyline GTR body shell, but it's a lot better than my first diy shell. You can cross reference that in one of my first posts. First I started scoring along the perforations with a knife, the tried but had little success as tearing the unwanted bits off. Then I used a random pair of scissors (instead of curved scissors) to cut the rest of the shell. Then, I used the same army knife to ream out holes for the mounting pins, engine, and fuel tank. Next, I used medical masking tape to cover the areas I wanted to be left unpainted. I proceeded on to spraying the inside of the shell with 4 coats of paint- leftover metallic grey from a past handicraft project, and the neon orange paint I mark my tennis balls with. I used a hairdryer to speed drying up between coats. Unfortunately I failed to created a gradient blend effect. Lastly I stripped off the protective film on the exterior to reveal a rather glossy finish - if not marred by some careless scratches. Then I put some random decals on to decorate the plain semi-flop painting attempt.

HPI Savage X Spur Gear Question via Youtube | Hpisavagex46.wordpress.com

http://hpisavagex46.wordpress.com. Here's a spur gear question I received via Youtube by "MrBrotato":

Q: Savage X Spur Gear
Quick question...

I just stripped my spur gear and I'm not sure if I should spend $4 to replace with the stock plastic one or $20 to get a metal one. I thought it was plastic so it would strip if under too much pressure in order to save other parts from damage.... Or is it just plastic because they're cheaper?

A: Heya... you should change to the metal one because the plastic one is like... "built to strip". if you look at the savage x ss, that comes readily equipped with the metal spur gear. so that's a very telling sign. Take heed though, you need to get a new hardened steel clutch bell, either by Robinson Racing, or the Racing Clutch Bell by HPI. the stock one is too malleable and will basically warp.

Many modern boyfriends suck because they don't dare to call quits on their girlfriends, and end up sparking off a whole snowball of problems.

BSD Land Ripper broken upper suspension arm mount?

Http://hpisavagex46.wordpress.com. If you own a BSD Racing Land Ripper BS803T or BS809T and broke your Upper Suspension Arm Mount, and have trouble getting replacement parts, give me a shout.

I finally know why the moron Cheryl Miles is on 91.3 Married Men radio program. She's there to be the idiot of the show. Thinking of it this way, I cringe less, and am better able to tolerate her brainless spews.

Fuck the SPF and HEB on noise curbs on Thaipusam. Even as an outsider, I find the curbs on music and instruments ridiculous. If not for devotees alone, to curious onlookers and tourists, what is a Thaipusam celebration without its defining drum beats and music? How will Kavadi-carriers handle without what always been there for morale? It's only a once a year event! Tomorrow! SPF stop being useless larks that endlessly fail at breaking anything more than common crime - let the Hindus have their day!

My lunch, Pizza from Rocky's

Http://Hpisavagex46.wordpress.com. This is from Rocky's, NOT Rocky Master (for losers by losers). 16" Boston Pizza but I can't say 16" of goodness. I remembered Rocky's for how much ingredient they used to put in their pizzas. But today, For $32.60- a real rip-off! Scantly littered with ground beef, sausage and pepperoni, I wonder why do they have to go to such extents to cut costs. No more Rocky's and Rocky Master for the matter- you're now on my boycott list. So hard to find good, decadent pizzas that taste good these days.

RC Faq - How do you know when your nitro rc clutch shoes are worn out?

http://hpisavagex46.wordpress.com. My monster truck is fully broken in, LSN-tuned, but i noticed a significant loss of speed even on full throttle. Is this a case of worn out clutch shoe? Advice most appreciated.

Julian's newest RC buggy beats real car Subaru WRX in drag race

My new Brushless RC buggy beats Ah Beng Subaru WRX to traffic light drag race - even after the car got the early start. Within 3 seconds the BSD Racing Land Ripper 2 swiftly overtook the noisy turbo-charged car. Clearly, the ah Beng wanted to show off his machine's grunt. His front passenger must have been dumbstruck if they even notice how badly whacked on speed they were. Shame no one around to record video. I might just get some camera specs.

Mmmm

In Singapore: Car-ownership cooling measures, Property cooling measures, Cigarette tax and Alcohol duty charges - next? Eating cooling measures? And ALL of it is going to the govt!

Yes, they do serve their purposes well, but I expect more bonuses for ALL- not biased toward the poor.

Where to buy BSD Racing Land Ripper 2 1/8 Brushless Buggy Online?

Http://hpisavagex46.wordpress.com. The 1/8 Brushless Buggies by China's BSD Racing are getting a lot of good talk on online RC Discussion Forums like RCGroups.com, Rctech.com and RCuniverse.com. That comes at little surprise, given that these powerful mean machines are good enough to give you a top 10 placing in your weekend race- RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX! Many of the usual option parts come as standard feature on BSD Racing Land Ripper 2, a.k.a. The BS809T - at half the price of a comparable competition RTR set by Team Losi, Team Associated, Kyosho, or HPI. The big question is, "Where to buy it?". Like me in the past, I could hardly fine these anywhere, and in the places they did, they were often out of stock. Leave me a comment if you need help getting one of these. After all, I live in Asia too!

How to Charge & Balance RC Lipo Batteries | http://hpisavagex46.wordpress.com

http://hpisavagex46.wordpress.com. If you just got your first lipo-ready kit or upgraded to a brushless system that works well with lipo battery cells, great and congratulations! You're in for a lot of fun! At present, no other power source compares to the lipo in giving that awesome initial punch possible only due to those high discharge rates. This tutorial teaches you how to use your lipo-compatible charger to charge and balance lipo batteries of multiple cells. I'm using a GT Power A6-10 from GT RC. The setup and interface is identical to the Turnigy chargers and possibly a few other asian makes. Subscribe to my videos for more..

UNBOXED! Inside Look on BSD Racing Land Ripper V.2, BS809T

http://hpisavagex46.wordpress.com. In this RC Car Review, we unboxed the latest offering from BSD Racing - Version 2 of the popular "Land Ripper" 1/8 Brushless Off-Road Buggy as you've seen on NitroRCX and on Redhat Racing (sold under the Redhat Racing Label), and other sites. This is part of the "Asian Revolution" in RCs. It's feature packed, and I was very impressed with what is touted as "China's Fastest Buggy Ever Made". This is really catching on in the UK, due to its low price and great performance.

If you've been looking for info on this buggy, I know it's really hard for you to find much online - hence I decided to do you this favor.

Feel free to write me on this buggy. If you're in Europe or in the US and looking to get one, I reckon I could help you with it. After all, I live in Asia too. Subscribe to my videos and find me on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/theprofessionalbum.

Watch this space for more updates on the latest BSD racing machine. Just look at those big bore threaded shocks... Universal driveshafts, anti roll bar, water sealed body - all standard feature. From the looks of it, can pit the Kyosho Inferno VE and HPI Vorza Flux, and Hot Bodies D8 VE to a good fight!

Kyosho Inferno getting a charge

That's my Kyosho inferno, 10 years old, getting a receiver pack charge. Mods include alum shocks front n rear, anti roll bar, Hitec high torque metal gear servo, servo saver, Thunder Tiger Pro 21BR racing engine - very high torque!

Toykar Pte Ltd go suck it!

Old Kyosho Inferno running blazing quick with NO help from you snobbish hoes. Let's just watch me trounce your racers with this "old worthless junkpile". I'm training for that right now. I might just get a Herbie body shell to suitably stylize this grudge match.

Idiots Against Afternoon RC Noise

Some dickhead came up to me to tell me what a noisy ruckus I was making with my Kyosho Inferno Nitro RC buggy on the barren land near to the condo he lived at "on a Sunday afternoon". Well precisely! Firstly, there's a very good reason why I'm not playing in the condo premises, but on public land, not in the morning or at night when people may be sleeping. Other than that, it's just too bad he's living there. Call it a locational hazard that is not within my responsibility. I got so pissed off and proceeded to drive my RC car very hard and I think my handling skills improved.

STX OSV was a rather good stock pick! Since purchase at $0.79 per share, it's made an EPS of $0.37! Under 2 months! It will be great if it does similar 13X yield like STX PO.

I'm starting to think DHL is superior to Fedex.

DHL quotes delivery within "" days. Fedex quotes "" business days. What? Fedex doesn't work through the weekend? How slow! Better off with EMS than Fedex. Cheaper, trackable, and just as slow.

Brought my Inferno Dx out for a spin today at the Segar track. Runs well but session hampered by faulty glow starter. On the other hand, Norris' EP Traxxas Slash 2wd and RC44 proved rather fun! I was very impressed with the practically "instant" torque on tap and how light these Lipo-powered RC models are! The lipos are so much lighter than the NiMHs and have such long running times! Impressive also was how well the Slash took jumps and flips- without any breakages. Neither did Norris break anything when flying ramps at the skate park. Well, I shall be joining in on Brushless EP Lipo action soon... My BSD Racing Land Ripper 2 is on the way!

Masami Hirosaka's Yokomo MR-4BX EP RC 4WD Buggy

Http://Hpisavagex46.wordpress.com This is Masami Hirosaka's Yokomo MR-4BX prototype RC buggy. Hirosaki and Shinya Kimura were among the race-testers who helped shape the development of the resulting production buggy as we see now. Unlike other popular 1/10 4WDs out there, the MR-4BX uses belt drive for both front and rear axles. While belt-drive is popular in on-road RC, and lighter in weight, a shaft-driven drive-train is generally thought to be more durable and reliable in ensuring all motor torque is well channeled into the wheels - as opposed to the skipping of a belt stretched from overuse. Nonetheless, the MR-4BX has proven itself to be of a worthy design by gaining pole-position in several 1/10 EP off-road races. Stay tuned to http://Hpisavagex46.wordpress.com

King Motors China's KM Baja 3.0 1/5 Buggy

Http://hpisavagex46.wordpress.com This is China's answer to the Hpi Baja 5b SS. Full-option parts equipped, and RTR too! In fact, the parts are fully-interchangeable with the iconic Hpi gasoline buggy. Down to the 29cc engine, this is a Chinese-marinated Baja 5b SS clone. However, the previous KM Baja 2.0 was ridden with manufacture and technical faults. Let's see if the KM 3.0 is better.
