This is because EFRA classifies not by make or model, but by exhaust shape. This means multiple pipes sharing the same EFRA number do share the same features. The Jammin JP-4 EFRA-2062 manifold by Hong Nor Racing was designed for high torque and high rpm - just what buggy and truggy racers need to win.

Jammin JP-4 EFRA-2062 Manifold

Http://hpisavagex46.wordpress.com. An IFMAR-approved and EFRA-homogulated pipe does not have to come at a high price. In a market spoilt by the sky high prices of approved pipes by OS Engines, Nosram, Nova Rossi or LRP. The Jammin JP-4 EFRA-2062 pipe is available for less than $100. In fact, less than even $80. Yet, it shares all the great pluses and even has a reinforced exhaust outlet to guard against hard, bad landings that may wreck another pipe altogether.

This is going to join my SH 28 8-port racing engine on my second hand Inferno MP9 TKI

Bluebird BMS-616MG+HS Servo

Http://hpisavagex46.wordpress.com. Here is the Bluebird high torque steering servo for 1/8 buggies. I got mine from Hobbyking.com

Comes with a set of screws, shims, and servo horns

Servo specs: This is a dual-bearing metal gear servo. It contains a heatsink middle case. This servo runs on a 3-pole carbon brush motor. This servo produces 142 oz, or 10.2 kg of torque when powered by a 6V receiver pack.

This is a good replacement for stock Redcat, BSD and HSP steering servos, producing considerable torque at good speed. Even Hpi Savage X owners will benefit from this as stock HPI SF-1 servos produce measly 6kg torque at 0.17s.

Why Steve Tan Dropped Out of GE 2011

If like me, you were wondering why PAP's Steve Tan pulled out just days away from Singapore's General Elections 2011, you would have felt that today's Straits' Times article on the surprise withdrawal hardly shed very little light on the matter, leaving the reader no wiser of Tan's "personal reasons" for the pull out. Probably careful of evoking the ruling party's ire upon her career, the reporting journalist minced words and waxed very lousy lyrics about the case surrounding the promising 38 year old leader from NTUC.

While critics dismiss the news of Steve Tan's pull out as a staged act by the PAP to roll out a more experienced candidate, I for one, am more interested in the scandal and reality behind the smokescreen of rumors and half-truths.

The closest find I made was this extract from a series of Facebook comments on one of his profile photos, which has since been deleted:

""it was the marketing department of the admin and research unit of NTUC umbrella union. he was there in '05 as deputy director or something, a rising star so to speak, "young and talented, up and coming"... yada yada yada.

Let me just cut to the chase: there were no less than 2 girls who worked there the same time i did who told me of their sexual harassment experience with this guy. and as far as i know it went unreported, undisclosed.. and there were many others who also knew of it. but it seems not enough people stood up for themselves or for the others to make it known."

An entanglement like this will well weaken Tan's political stance, as well taint his represented party's credibility.

You may follow the forum discussions on PAP's Steve Tan's reasons for pull out here:

Housefly Feeding on Milo - IPhone Macro Lens

Here is a video of a housefly feeding on left Milo in a glass. Filmed with an IPhone 4 close-up macro videography function.

Thai Airways Excess Baggage Charges

Http://hpisavagex46.wordpress.com. Thai Airways charges 240 baht per kilo of excess baggage. That's US$7.99 per kilo. That's quite reasonable for the fast, same flight delivery. They base the charges purely on weight and not dimensional weight which International couriers like Fedex, DHL, UPS, OCS or DPEX use. If you purchased bulky items overseas, you'd save time and money taking them back with you on your flight and paying excess baggage if you must, than using an international courier service. For additional savings, some airports like Thailand's Suvarnabhumi Airport have an "Unaccompanied Baggage Service" which claims savings of up to 50% on excess baggage.

BSD Land Ripper Nitro Thailand Speed Runs

Http://Hpisavagex46.wordpress.com. Here is my BSD Land Ripper Nitro a.k.a. Redcat Backdraft 3.5. The control you see is a Flysky FS-GT3B. This is a newly broken in Land Ripper. Filmed in Chacheongsao, Thailand. Still running a little rich on HSN to keep temperatures down. The body designers sure did a good aerodynamic design but didn't factor in air flow for cooling. Hence, I reamed out a honeycomb pattern on the windscreen and side windows. As the engine warmed up to operating temp toward the end of the video, my IPhone ran out of memory. It took several pulls to start as there was some vapor lock from a previous run. This car accelerates comparably with the Land Ripper or Backdraft 8E as it's considerably lighter in overall weight. Body shells come in Red or Blue, wheels come in Yellow, Black or White. Stock setup comes with SH21 pullstart engine and FlySky FS-GT2 2.4ghz controller. I can do a package deal that includes all the spares you'll need, like arms, arm carriers, front chasis, bulkhead, diff gear, spur gear, wheels.

Statues of saints bearing holy water greet parishioners and church visitors.

The rest of the mass timings may be found on this notice board.

The Church hall. Simple with basic features like the pre-upgraded Catholic churches in Singapore's neighborhood districts. Unfortunately, we had to leave not long after Sermon as the heat and humidity in this Songkran period was too much for Chantelle to keep composure.

Britney Spears is obsolete. She's got no chance climbing back up to popularity with the likes of Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Kesha at the helm.

Like Gaynor says of Brunei Catholic Churches, the palm leaves come braided in Thailand Catholic Churches. I suppose it's too much work and testing of patience to braid enough palm leaves for the relatively larger Roman Catholic community in Singapore

Opening ceremony and the blessing of palm leaves.

This is the Daily Missal in Thai. We sought to buy this from the bookstand at church, so that my wife can follow the Bible readings whence a Thai mass isn't available. However, it was on a limited print run, and no more copies were available for sale. The Parish Priest kindly gave us one of the Church's only 2 copies. Indeed, he's living out Jesus' evangelical mission. We really appreciated the gesture.

Palm Sunday in Thailand

Http://Hpisavagex46.wordpress.com. Today we attended the Sacred Heart Church in Sri Racha, Chonburi. Mass timings are 630am and 830am in Thai, and 11am in English. The latter mass caters to a small assembly of expatriate workers, largely from the Philippines. If you note the spelling, there's a rather glaring typo. "Plam Sunday".

The boorish road behavior of many Mercedes Benz car owners reflects their character - assholes. Mercedes cars are regarded as symbols of accomplishment, rather than motoring performance. Hence, this make of car attracts people who "have something to prove", rather than good drivers. Lexus is beginning to attract the same rotten crop.

Packing RC Car For Travel

Http://Hpisavagex46.wordpress.com. While my Inferno MP9 TKI awaits its new SH .28 powerplant and Hong Nor pipe, the best candidate for my upcoming Songkran Holiday has to be my BSD Land Ripper Nitro. I'm using a Hobao Hyper carry-all padded buggy case. It's good enough for the car plus the various spares, hop up parts and tools.

The electric screw-driver is a great asset. Does all bolting and un-bolting in a fraction of the time. It takes standard hex bits so I can use all my existing ones. Runs on 4 AA batteries.

Out: Inferno MP9 TKI full-mod. In: BSD BS802T Land Ripper Nitro (Backdraft 3.5).

Deciding what spares go into the bag...

Land Ripper Nitro Post Bashing Pictures

Grabbed the wrong sunglasses on the way out- instead of my CMOS camera one. Didn't get to record to great session of racing, bashing, big jumps, mud-drifting and engine tuning with my BSD Land Ripper Nitro running SH .21 engine and FlySky FS-GT3B.

Pit tables at Segar OffRoad RC Track

Post-run damage assessment Redcat Backdraft 3.5

This applies to BSD and Redcat Racing 1/8 range, I.e the Land Ripper Brushless, Land Ripper Nitro, Backdraft 8E and 3.5, Aftershock 8E, 3.0 and 3.5, and Earthquake 8E and 3.5. The steering knuckles are held to the steering hubs by wimpy 3mm screws. They always bend or break. This one's a little bent, and loosened too but it's held in by threadlock I applied. My Kyosho Infernos use Kingpins for the same purpose.

The other thing that broke was the front chasis. Too much dirt got between the front chasis and the differential bulkhead. Here's where I have to applaud BSD racing engineer's brilliance. Usually, had the same happened to a full-aluminum chasis, it'd warp. They realized that the front of the car takes the most beating, and made it easily replaceable! Best part? The plastic front chasis replacement cost less than lunch!

Aggressive styling by the designers at BSD Racing. This is the Land Ripper Nitro, often sold as the Backdraft 3.5. Held up very well... Only a bent screw, chipped front chasis, and a loosened front roll bar after some heavy bashing- which included some somersaults and cartwheels.

Newly Added! Team Segar 1/10 Rally Track

Located just behind the 1/10 track. Fairly simple setup, just one jump.

Popular models raced here include the TF03RA and converted TT01s.

Quite a basic track.. Sculpted out of the landfill. No pipes or woodboards whatsoever. There's one jump, not like the converted TT01 can handle more.

The Tracks of Segar Rd / KJE Bridge

Http://Hpisavagex46.wordpress.com. I'm gonna take you on a little photo journey of the Segar Rd hobbyist attractions, namely, the offroad tracks beneath the KJE bridge. First up, the offroad mini mountain bike trail. RC bashers are a cyclist's dread as it's just too enticing to impose on their facilities. A challenging course with plenty of jumps here, but play only at your own risk of getting verbal or physical abuse by the bikers.

Some of the bike jumps I was telling you about.

Race the cambered turn anyone?

SgCrawlers hangout : Segar Road Bike Track

I've chanced upon members of Sgcrawlers doing their rc crawling races over here. Such a nicely landscaped place, why waste it?

Here's Zhenghua CSC's welcome notice to the Segar Mountain Bike Park

For Monster Trucks Bashing .... Why Not?

This is the barren area beside the Segar Mini Mountain Bike Park. Bikers have been creating their own bumps and jumps over here. The ground is strewn with mountain bike tyre thread marks. They only appear in the evenings though. RC Monster truck bashers just want to rough and tumble about, so this spot is perfect!

Here is the welcome signboard lovingly put together by the founders of the Team Segar RC.

A note from the Zhenghua CSC.
